Frequently Asked Questions Please do NOT bring items that have been recalled unless you have included the replacement part! ( I will have a list of recalled items at the sale, if you are not sure about an item) How can I shop early? Bring a minimum of 15 hanging items, or one large item and you will receive a consignor pass and a guest pass to our consignor sale for early shopping. To shop the earliest time, you can be a Volunteer Worker. (these are NOT paid shifts) Even working one 4-hour shift will qualify you. You do not have to be a consignor to be a worker! We are also really flexible-if you need to break up your 4 hour shifts into 2 two hour shifts, we can do that too! We also barter... What can I expect at drop off and pick up? When you come to drop off, you check your info to make sure it is correct (address, consignor number) and sign the Consignor Agreement. While you are checking in, someone will be inspecting your clothes, toys, shoes, etc. You hang your clothes into the appropriate size and you are ready to go! Don’t forget your two passes to shop early! ALL EQUIPMENT THAT NEEDS TO BE ASSEMBLED MUST BE DONE BY YOU. We can't assemble furniture or equipment. Items deemed not appropriate/acceptible for the sale will be given back to you. For pick up, you will check in and pick up any unsold items. If you want to stay for our donation dart, you are more than welcome to do so. Also, if you decide to donate some of your items left over, you will have the opportunity to do so. When do I get my check? We mail checks 2 weeks after the sale ends. If you decide to work the Sort Shift on the half-price day, you get your check THAT DAY!!!!! What payments are accepted at the Sale? We accept Visa, MasterCard, Cash and Check. Please have your phone number written on the check. There is a $15.00 returned check fee. WE DO NOT ACCEPT DISCOVER!!! How do I price my items? In pricing your items, consider the price you would be willing to pay for that item. Customary pricing is 1/3 to 1/4 of the retail price based on the condition of the item. Infant clothes are in abundance, you may want to price them a little less. Target brands are obviously going to go less than Gap. Also, consider the size, and hard to find items. Baby Bjorn’s sell GREAT, but the less popular (and cheaper) brands do not sell very well. Feel free to email me anytime with pricing questions. Click on Chart. Do you have any helpful shopping tips? Yes! Bring some sort of shopping “cart” with you, i.e. a stroller (which we will tag, so we know it’s yours), clothes basket, wagon…We do offer really big "IKEA" bags with handles for you to "borrow" for a dollar. 100% of that money goes to a local charity. (Tennessee Children's Home) Please INSPECT the items you are purchasing BEFORE you buy! While we do our best to inspect all of our items, some things may slip through. Because of the nature of our business, and all of the consignors involved, we cannot offer refunds or returns on any item. So be sure to inspect all items thoroughly. Also, we have to “Trust” that the sellers will put all pieces to puzzles and games in the box. Please note, WE DO NOT PUT PUZZLES TOGETHER NOR GAMES. BUYER BEWARE. Most sellers are very good about this, but it cannot be guaranteed! Do I have to drag around my large item that I want to purchase? No. When you find a large item you want to purchase, a worker will be in the large item area. Find that person and they will give you the tag and make a duplicate tag that says "Sold" on it and put that back on the large item. Once you have paid for the large item, you will get a "receipt" that has paid on it, that you will then take back to the worker who can then help you load your item. PLEASE, do not pull the tag off. It is not fair to the consignor or the other shoppers. If you pull the tag, you are agreeing to buy it. Also, please do not take one of the strollers that are for sale to use as a shopping cart while you are shopping!!! (trust me, it has been done)! Can I bring my children to the sale? Yes, you can bring your children to the sale, however, our consignors work very hard to prepare their items. Please insure that your children stay with you at all times. NO CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 10 ARE ALLOWED AT THE PRE-SALE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS TRULY A SAFETY ISSUE. Can I bring a friend to the volunteer worker sale? No, but they can work their own shift(s) and get a pass!! If I want to donate my items, where do they go? All donated items go will go to an agency chosen by the owner of The Kidz Klozet. We are big supporters of the Tennessee Children’s Home but would love suggestions from you on local children's charities. Besides working, how else can I get my fee reduced? Refer a NEW consignor to our sale, and if they consign, you will get your $9 participation fee waived. Still have questions?
